show moreBruno Carneiro is the co-founder and CEO of Servdebt Group. Back in 2007, after accruing extensive experience in the Management of distressed loans for one of the leading asset managers in Portugal, Bruno understood that the distressed debt market caused severe damages to the overall economy and triggered unnecessary stress and constraints on businesses preventing growth and development. From the get-go, Bruno was sure that there had to be a better way to go about it, hence Servdebt was founded. Since 2007, Bruno has been one of the driving forces behind Servdebt’s success, leading the company to achieve extraordinary growth since its inception and becoming a benchmark in the Loan Servicing and Distressed Debt sector in Iberia.
Bruno is responsible for setting the overall direction and strategy for the company.
Ana Duarte Esteves is the co-founder and COO of Servdebt Group overseeing the firm’s business operations. From the start, Ana’s extensive experience combined with a hands-on practical approach played a vital role in the early stages of Servdebt’s development. In her role as COO, Ana undertakes the responsibility of leading and managing the company’s day-to-day operations. She also designs, implements and oversees Servdebt’s processes and procedures to ensure the highest standard of service as well as compliance. Ambitious and driven, Ana is a trailblazer and a mentor to her team, paving the way to success.
With 15+ years of experience, prior to founding Servdebt, Ana held high management roles at a leading asset management company and Grupo Edifer. She is enrolled in the Portuguese Bar Association since 2005.
In her role as CFO, Carla Ramos is responsible for all financial matters of Servdebt Group, including accounting, corporate financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, and corporate financial development. Carla also leads the Quality and Internal Audit department. Since joining in 2013, Carla has been an instrumental member of the Executive Team, effectively contributing to Servdebt’s consolidation and growth.
Carla holds a Degree in Management and has 15+ years’ experience in Finance. Prior to joining Servdebt she held a Senior Management position at Ernst&Young Portugal and served as Board Director to Parque Escolar, E.P.E. where she oversaw the finance, internal auditing and general secretarial departments.
Ana Alves started her journey at Servdebt in 2017 as an Assistant in Strategic Planning and Controlling. Her skills and commitment led her to be promoted to Head of Finance in 2022. Prior to joining Servdebt, Ana spent over 10 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers & Associados SROC, Lda, gaining extensive experience in financial management and planning.
Ana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, a Master’s degree in Accounting, an Executive Master in Applied Finance and Accounting, and a Corporate MBA. She is also a chartered accountant since 2016.
As Head of Finance, Ana’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the financial operations of the company, analysing financial data, and developing effective financial strategies. She reports directly to the CFO and plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of Servdebt.
As Head of Collections, Carlos’s main responsibilities include leading and managing a broad team of Asset Managers and Team Leaders. He also plays a crucial role in planning and implementing short, medium and long-term strategies to assure the Collection Teams meet Servdebt’s objectives as well as our Clients.
Prior to joining Servdebt in 2016, Carlos worked at Oitante SA and Banif SA and has extensive experience and know-how in Debt Management and recovery.
Carlos holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economy.
As Head of Secured Portfolios, Catarina’s main responsibilities include leading and managing a team of lawyers and asset managers, ensuring the team’s effective and efficient output.
With a Law degree and a post-graduation in Business Law, Catarina joined Servdebt in 2009, as a trainee lawyer, at the beginning of her professional career. At the company, she developed the skills that qualified her to take on the role of Legal Team Leader in 2015 and later, in 2020, to assume her current role.
In 2019, Cristina joined Servdebt as a Team Leader for Collections, showcasing her extensive knowledge and experience in the field. Cristina Sousa is the Head of Collections at Servdebt, having taken on the role in 2022.
With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Cristina’s worked at BANIF, SA and Oitante, SA prior to joining Servdebt.
Cristina holds a degree in Law and is enrolled with the Portuguese Bar Association since 1998.
Daniela Andrade Duarte, as the Head of Quality, Security & Internal Audit at Servdebt since 2024, brings extensive experience in quality management and internal audit. With a solid background spanning over a decade, Daniela has consistently demonstrated her expertise and commitment to ensuring operational excellence and maintaining the highest standards.
Previously, she held pivotal roles at Hospital de Loures, where she coordinated quality assurance activities and served as a Quality Coordinator and Manager. Prior to that, Daniela honed her skills in quality control at esteemed pharmaceutical companies. Daniela is a certified ISO 9001 auditor.
Her responsibilities at Servdebt include coordinating Quality, Safety, and Internal Audit activities to ensure alignment with organizational objectives across all facets of the organization, fostering a culture of quality and safety, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Dina Correia’s career at Servdebt started in 2009 when she joined the company as a Lawyer. Throughout the years, Dina’s extensive experience and proven track record have enabled her to take on a variety of leadership roles, including Team Leader Legal in 2013 and embracing Servdebt Spanish operations from the beginning, leading the Legal team since 2014.
In 2022, Dina was appointed as Head of Operations for Servdebt Spain.
Dina holds a degree in Law and a postgraduate degree in Labour Law.
João started his journey with Servdebt as a Lawyer in 2011 managing one of our NPL portfolios a role he occupied until 2015 when he was promoted to Team Leader of Legal Collections. His extensive experience and proven track record had João appointed as Head of Legal Collections in 2020.
João’s main responsibilities as Head of Legal Collections include leading and managing a vast team of lawyers and jurists, ensuring the team’s effective and efficient output. João reports directly to the COO and is also responsible for developing and implementing appropriate business strategies in order to better achieve Servdebt’s objectives.
Prior to joining Servdebt, João worked as Lawyer at a Law Firm where he focused on Executive orders and insolvencies; Banking Laws, European Law, Corporate Law and Civil Litigation.
João holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, a Post Grad in European Human Rights Justice and is enrolled with the Portuguese Bar Association since 2007.
As our IT Systems Director, João is responsible for strategic decisions regarding systems and information security.
With an MBA in Information Systems and Entrepreneurship, João has more than 20 years of solid international experience, mainly in the financial sector at BES and Itaú BBA, but also in technology, having joined Servdebt after 7 years as Operations Director at Vision Box. Over the course of his career, he has managed all kinds of projects, teams, and technologies, while working in multicultural environments.
Nuno started his journey at Servdebt in 2011 as a Senior Programmer and in 2015 assumed the role of IT Development Director.
As an IT Development Director, Nuno is the focal point for everything software related. He manages a team of developers and oversees all projects and frameworks regarding the maintenance, programming and developing software. Reporting directly to the CEO, Nuno ensures our in-house developed systems are in accordance with the company’s requirements and necessities. He also oversees the development and programming of new software making sure Servdebt is kept at the forefront of innovation.
Nuno has extensive experience in programming and more than 15 years’ experience of IT skills acquired in marketing and financial companies like OpenSales, ActualSales, Domus Venda, among others.
As our Human Resources Director, Paula is responsible for leading and overseeing HR programs and initiatives ensuring these are aligned with Servdebt’s needs and objectives. Paula also manages employee relationships, grievances and overall staff well-being.
With 10+ years in HR Management, prior to joining Servdebt in 2014, Paula held an HR Director position at Parque Escolar E.P.E.
Paula holds a Bachelor in Law and is a certified Trainer of Trainers (TOT) since 2011.
Rafael Paim is the Head of Underwriting at Servdebt, a position he assumed in 2022, joining from Copernicus in Spain, Rafael had already been part of Servdebt’s team, as a Senior Financial Analyst from 2013 to 2016.
Rafael holds a degree in economics and has completed two postgraduate programs, one in Corporate Finance and another in Analytics for Business. With his extensive knowledge of the NPLs Iberian market, from his past in the banking sector at Barclays Bank and BIG, Rafael is well-equipped to lead and oversee the underwriting operations at Servdebt, ensuring that the company’s objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
Ricardo joined Servdebt in 2009 as a Lawyer and as one of our first employees. His extensive experience in the debt recovery processes, especially in the litigation area, made him a perfect fit for the role of Head of Legal Collections, which he took over in 2015.
As Head of Legal Collections, Ricardo’s main responsibilities include leading and managing a vast team of lawyers and jurists, ensuring the team’s effective and efficient output. Reporting directly to the COO, Ricardo also develops and implements appropriate business strategies in order to better achieve Servdebt’s objectives.
Ricardo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and is enrolled in the Portuguese Bar Association since 2008.
Sandra joined Servdebt in 2018 as Head of Collections. In her role, Sandra’s main responsibilities include leading and managing a broad team of Asset Managers and Team Leaders. She also plays a crucial role in planning and implementing short, medium and long-term strategies to assure the Collection Teams meet Servdebt’s objectives as well as our Clients.
Having extensive experience in Debt Management and Recovery, Sandra held equivalent roles in Altamira and Oitante SA before joining Servdebt.
Sandra holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management.
Tito has over 12 years of experience in adapting regulatory frameworks and influencing policymakers in areas such as compliance, telecom, banking, insurance, energy, consumer law and consumer protection.
Now, as Head of Risk and Compliance at Servdebt, Tito is responsible for ensuring compliance with risk-related legal aspects for the company and all its stakeholders in the areas of governance, data protection and information security, regulatory, insurance and operational risk.
Besides a Law degree, he has also a post-graduate diploma in Banking, Securities and Insurance, with a master’s degree in Economic Law. He started his professional career as a lawyer and developed his career for 13 years in the legal department of Deco Proteste.
Vânia Dias, a highly experienced professional in the field of analytics and reporting, has been an integral part of Servdebt since 2010. Vânia started her career at Servdebt as a Senior Financial Analyst and has since risen to the position of Head of Analytics & Reporting in 2022. Her professional path has been consolidated in the financial and IT consulting areas at companies such as Banco Totta & Açores, IBM Group, and Domus Venda.
Vânia holds a degree in Applied Maths and has specialized in Auditing and Taxation. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Vânia brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role.
Her contributions have been vital to the development and success of Servdebt’s Analytics & Reporting department.
