On 23 September 2026, Servdebt participated in the 17th NPL Iberian Forum Portugal, organised by CMS Group and held at the Myriad by SANA Hotel in Lisbon. As a sponsor of the event, Servdebt reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of the Portuguese non-performing loans (NPL) market and fostering meaningful dialogue among industry stakeholders.
Representing Servdebt as a speaker was Rafael Paim, Head of Underwriting, who joined the panel discussion “Portugal's New NPL Landscape: Regulation, Market Evolution and Investment Opportunities”, alongside other industry experts. The conversation focused on the impact of the new regulatory framework on the Portuguese NPL market, addressing evolving compliance requirements, market transparency, portfolio trends, and the factors expected to influence investment activity in the coming years.

Reflecting on the discussion, Rafael Paim highlighted the market’s ongoing transformation:
"The Portuguese NPL market is entering a new phase of maturity. While the increased regulatory requirements bring additional complexity, they also promote greater transparency and standardisation, strengthening investor confidence and supporting the long-term sustainability of the market."

The panel concluded that the Portuguese NPL sector is moving towards a more professional, transparent, and sophisticated environment, creating new opportunities for investors and servicers capable of adapting to an increasingly evolving landscape.
Servdebt’s participation in the 17th NPL Iberian Forum Portugal reflects our ongoing commitment to thought leadership, market engagement, and the sharing of expertise that helps drive the sustainable development of the NPL sector in Portugal and across Iberia.
We would like to thank CMS Group for organising another insightful and well-attended event and for creating a valuable platform for discussion and knowledge exchange among industry professionals.
