Servdebt was at the NPL Portugal Days, in Lisbon, on last October 6th, an event organized by DD Talks.

The conference was held at the Intercontinental Hotel, where numerous NPL professionals, investors, and other interested participants met for exchanging some fresh thoughts on the Portuguese NPL and REO markets.

Through 8 hours, more than 20 speakers participated in 5 panels, discussing the NPL market overview and its recent regulatory changes, the developments in the unsecured loans market, latest trends on real estate management, valuation and due diligence, and finally what are the current m and future investment opportunities in Portugal.

Servdebt was again one of the proud sponsors of the event and had its Head of Underwriting, Rafael Paim, expressing some ideas and comments in the “Investment Perspectives in the NPL Market” panel.


Strategies and opportunities for developing NPL markets were the main discussing topic in this conversation, where Rafael stated "Forecasting the impact, namely, the severity and duration of all the recent events, is a challenging exercise. Nevertheless, with around 15 years of data collected through different economic cycles, Servdebt is well-equipped to accommodate these new inputs into its business models."
