On 29 and 30 September 2026, Servdebt participated in SmithNovak’s NPL Global 2026, one of the leading international conferences for the non-performing loans (NPL) and distressed assets industry, held at the Pullman London St Pancras in London.

Rafael Paim, Head of Underwriting at Servdebt, joined the panel discussion "Focus on South Europe" alongside other industry experts. The session explored current trends across Southern European NPL markets, covering portfolio transactions, servicing strategies, market developments and investment activity across the region.

The debate highlighted the distinct characteristics of the Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and South East European markets. Participants shared insights on regulatory developments, banks' loan book management strategies, the growing role of servicing platforms and the factors expected to influence future transaction volumes.

Reflecting on the discussion, Rafael Paim commented:
